Cooperative Interactions: An Exchange Values Model
نویسندگان
چکیده
In non-economic cooperative applications with resource constraints, explicitly motivating cooperation is important so that autonomous service providers have incentives to cooperate. When participants of such applications have different skills and expectations over services, it may be that an agent receives less than expected from a cooperation. A decision-making strategy over interactions in this context must consider not only the motivation to cooperate, but also which interactions to perform to cope with resource limitations. In this paper, we present a computational approach for modelling noneconomic cooperative interactions based on the theory of exchange values. Here, exchange values are used to motivate cooperative interactions, and to allow agents to identify successful and unsuccessful cooperations with others, in order to limit service provision and to improve the number of successful interactions. We also present a scenario in which agents participate in a cooperative application in the bioinformatics domain, and show how agents can improve their interactions using the proposed approach.

An Investigation of Curriculum Genre Using Rose (2014) Pedagogic Exchange Model
Classroom learning consists of a variety of pedagogic relations including teachers and learners’ interactions, inclusions and exclusions of learners and evaluations. The purpose of this paper was to comprehensively examine the nature of these interactions using Rose (2014) pedagogic exchange model. The researchers qualitatively investigated the interactions of an experienced male EFL teacher wi...
متن کاملGAME OF COORDINATION FOR BACTERIAL PATTERN FORMATION: A FINITE AUTOMATA MODELLING
In this paper, we use game theory to describe the emergence of self-organization and consequent pattern formation through communicative cooperation in Bacillus subtilis colonies. The emergence of cooperative regime is modelled as an n-player Assurance game, with the bacterial colonies as individual players. The game is played iteratively through cooperative communication, and mediated by exchan...
متن کاملInterfirm Alliance Interactions and knowledge Learning: A Conceptual Research Model
Alliance raises many knowledge transfer and interfirm learning issues that have implications for how the alliance partners manage their cooperative learning activities in the alliance system. Many of these implications are grounded in the assumption that partners in the alliances have routines for transferring knowledge, learning, gaining management efficiencies. Thus organisations can support ...
متن کاملCooperative multimodal retention of IgG, fragments, and aggregates on hydroxyapatite.
Retention mapping of chimeric monoclonal IgG(1), Fc, Fab, F(ab')(2), and aggregated antibody was conducted on hydroxyapatite (HA) by systematically varying phosphate and chloride concentrations during gradient elution in order to characterize the interactions of each solute with calcium and phosphate residues on the solid phase. Lysozyme was used as a control to model cation exchange-dominant i...
متن کاملAnion˗π and Intramolecular Hydrogen Bond Interactions in the Various Complexes of 1,3,5-Triamino-2,4,6-trinitrobenzene with H-, F-, Cl- and Br- Anions
The quantum chemical calculations were performed to investigate the interplay between the anion˗π and intramolecular hydrogen bond (IMHB) interactions in the various complexes of 1,3,5-triamino-2,4,6-trinitrobenzene (ANB) with Hˉ, Fˉ, Clˉ and Brˉ anions. For better understanding the cooperative effects, the parent molecules (ANB) and the corresponding complexes of 1,3,5˗trinitrobenzene with the...
